We're starting off the New Year with a deep dive into misogynistic violence. We will be discussing the case of Elliot Rodger.
On May 23, 2014, near the campus of University of CA - Santa Barbara, Elliot Rodger went on a violent rampage (killing 6/injuring 14) before taking his own life. Rodger's 137-paged manifesto detailed his struggle to date, blamed his virgin state on the "cruelty of women," and outlined plans for a day of retribution. He shared this with family, friends, therapist and even shared it online before enacting.
